Engr. Vivencio M. Romero Jr. has been the Chairman of the Board of Tarlac Power Corporation since 1995. He was also the President and General Manager of the company from 1995 to present.
Mr. Venus M. Romero was elected as Director since 1994. He was also elected as Vice President since 2017.
Mr. Virgilio M. Romero as Director since 1994. He became the Corporate Secretary from 1994 to 1998 and elected as Vice President from 2003 to 2016.
Engr. Vitus M. Romero was elected as a director since 2003. He was elected as Assistant Vice-President of the Company from 2003 to 2016. He served as the Treasurer from 2018 to 2020.
Engr. Maan B. Florendo was elected as Independent Director on April 8, 2024, to serve the remaining term of the resigning director Ms. Maria Victoria R. San Pascual. She is a Registered Electrical Engineer who obtained both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tarlac State University. She serves as a full-time faculty member at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Tarlac State University, holding the position of Associate Professor I. From 2018 to 2021, she served as the Extension Chairperson of the College of Engineering.
Additionally, she held the position of Chapter Secretary for Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE) -Tarlac from 2019 to 2021 and currently continues to serve in that role.
As President and CEO, Engr, Vivencio M. Romero, Jr. he is directly responsible for the overall management of the Company’s operations, including monitoring of the Company’s overall performance to meet targets and implementing of BOD decisions and policies.
As Vice-President, Mr. Venus M. Romero is responsible in assisting the President in managing the organization’s operations and achieving its goals.
Atty. Leandro Rodel V. Atienza was elected as the Corporate Secretary of the Company in 2019. He has been the Managing Partner of Atienza Law Offices since 2014.
Ms. Bleslie N. Castañeda is the company’s Treasurer and Accounting Head. She was appointed as Treasurer in May 2021. Prior to her appointment as Treasurer, she held the position of Senior Accounting Assistant. She joined the company in October 1995.
As Treasury Head, she ensures that the Company has efficient liquidity planning and controls related to the company’s financial activities.
As Accounting Head, she is responsible for the efficient and effective implementation of controls and procedures involving the recording of financial transactions, and timely preparation of financial statements and related analysis and reports. As Compliance Officer, she is responsible for the Company’s full compliance with industry regulations and other reportorial requirements as may be required by the government and its instrumentalities.
Engr. Gilbert Mar J, Soliman is the company’s Plant Manager. He manages and oversees the daily operations of the power generation plant. He directs the implementation of preventive maintenance, emergency and operational plans and procedures. He also monitors the operation of the power plant efficiency and safety ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are followed.
Engr. Albert D. Aquino has been a Shift Supervisor since July 1996. He joined the Company in December 1995.
Engr. Allan B. Martinez has been a Shift Supervisor since June 1999. He joined the Company in November 1995.
Mr. Elmer G. Lambanicio has been a Shift Supervisor since December 1995. He joined the Company in January 1995.
Mr. Rene T. David has been a Shift Supervisor since April 2015. He joined the Company in June 1995.
The Company’s shift supervisors observe the work of control room operators, power plant employees and others assigned to a particular shift in the operation. They ensure the generating units operate within applicable operating parameters, environmental, reliability, regulatory requirements and within prudent utility practices. Ensure all employees are taking readings each hour and doing their assigned jobs. Make periodic inspections of equipment to see that it is functioning properly. Performs demand and preventive maintenance.
